Sam Roy began his career at Audwax Music Radio (A University of Durban-Westville Auditory eXperience) in 1982.

Sam has spent time at a variety of radio stations over the years, including, Good Hope FM, KFM and Heart 104.9 FM, before joining Smile 90.4FM as a Presenter in 2013.

Sam currently hosts The Smile All 80’s Show, weekdays from 6pm – 8pm, with features such as the EPIC 80’S INTRO, 8 OUT OF 8 (IN 80 SECONDS), WHAT MADE THE 80’S AWESOME and the all-new SAM’S GREATEST 80s LOVE SONGS. In addition to this, he also hosts The Friday Party Edition from 6pm – 10pm.

In his spare time, Sam manages music playlists for retail environments, MC’s and DJ’s in both the Corporate and Club Environment, and… being the avid sports fan he is… announces at Newlands and Boland park Cricket Grounds.
