According to a statement, the concert was originally planned for 3 September, but it was postponed due to weather. It will now go ahead on this new date. Attendees can expect live music and food trucks.  The festivities kick off at 6 pm.

The event coincides with First Thursdays in the Inner City, offering an extended evening out and another reason for the public to explore the area’s galleries, shops and eateries.

Mission for Inner City Cape Town turns one

The celebrations form part of The Mission’s ongoing goal to get Capetonians back into the Inner City. People are encouraged to experience the Inner City as a place worth visiting, spending time in, and enjoying and not just passing through. At the same time, “Greenmarket Square, one of the Inner City’s most historic public spaces, will come alive for one night with music, food and community. ”

Zolani Mahola on stage

Soana will open the evening from 6 pm – 6:30 pm. Then you can look out for acclaimed vocalist, Zolani Mahola and The Feminine Force, from 6:45 pm – 7:45 pm, to strut their stuff on stage.

Foods and lights

The food trucks in attendance are Holy Macaroni, Bigga D’s, Ardi’s and Herenity. There will also be additional lighting from Litehouse, so you will be able to sit and enjoy your meal in the light.
