The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) payment dates for November 2026 remain unknown, despite earlier confirmations that payouts would run from 3 November to 6 November 2026.

The agency has confirmed that the grant cycle is currently under review, as the dates coincide with the local elections scheduled for 4 November, which has been declared a public holiday by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

SASSA says while a new date has not yet been announced, it has reassured beneficiaries that all eligible beneficiaries will receive their grants for the month of November.

“Do not panic though, all eligible beneficiaries will receive their grants. SASSA, after consultation with the relevant stakeholders, will announce the new arrangements in due course. The agency remains committed to paying the right social grant to the right person at the right time,” SASSA said.

SASSA confirmed that the October payment cycle remains unchanged:

Older Persons Grant – Friday, 2 October 2026
Disability Grant – Monday, 5 October 2026
Children’s Grants – Tuesday, 6 October 2026
