Cape Town will soon feel a touch of island mischief as Canal Walk’s much-loved Holiday Slides return with a fresh twist inspired by Disney’s Stitch. This year’s event promises a spirited burst of seasonal fun designed to delight children, parents and anyone seeking a lively festive break.

From 5 December 2025 to 11 January 2026, Canal Walk’s Centre Court will transform into a playful escape where two impressive slides take centre stage. Visitors can look forward to the classic dual lane ice slide, Slide 626, which invites friendly competition as riders push their boats to the top before racing side by side.

Joining it is the Akatoo-kee Slide, a high-speed dry slide for older adventurers that begins with a gentle glide before dropping into a sharp inrun and launching riders into the air, landing safely on an airbag. For younger guests, a specially designed mini slide offers age-appropriate excitement. Families looking to stretch out their time together will find added charm in the snow play and sand play zones.

These areas allow little ones to build, shape and explore, creating a lively mix of sensory play and holiday cheer. A professional photographer will capture the day’s most daring or joyful moments with printed action shots available for purchase from the photo ticket box office.
