Steps That Made a Difference – Take A Step

Published on

On the 30th of November 2025, Cape Town walked, ran, and raised its voice in a powerful stand against Gender-based Violence at Take a Step.

Thousands came together at Ratanga Park in Century City for a 5km walk and run. From families and friends to schools, corporates, running clubs, and community groups, every participant showed that when we take even one step together, we create meaningful change.

Thanks to all the support, 100% of proceeds went directly to the organisations doing life-changing work on the frontlines of Gender-Based Violence:

💜 The Saartjie Baartman Centre
💜 The 1st for Women Foundation

To every walker, runner, partner, and sponsor— thank you. We showed up. Together, we walked for survivors, for families, and for a future where Gender-Based Violence has no place in our communities.
