All things cherry-related are coming to Ceres soon. The small town, Ceres, in the Witzenberg Local Municipality, has begun preparations to celebrate everything cherry-related in December. The organisers of the inaugural Ceres Cherry Fest are inviting cherry-lovers of all ages to celebrate the region’s most anticipated harvest.
“Bring your picnic blankets, chairs, and umbrellas, and enjoy a cherry-filled day of local flavour and festive spirit.”

According to Tessa Crowder, from In House Agency, festival-goers can look forward to cherry-inspired treats, local food stalls, kids’ entertainment, and a bustling market filled with artisan crafts and handmade delights. She says against the backdrop of a setting sun, the energy will rise with live performances by Refentse and Die Piesangskille. This will provide the perfect soundtrack to a summer evening under the Ceres stars.
