There’s been a triple murder in Mitchell’s Plain. Police officers discovered the bodies of two men, before midnight in Bayern Munich Road in Tafelsig. A third man who was taken to hospital, was declared deceased at the medical facility.

Colonel Andrè Traut says preliminary information suggests that the victims were returning home from a Rasta festival when they came under fire from unknown gunmen, who fled the scene.

Reports of gunfire

Detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit are in charge of the investigation. Traut says at approximately 23:50, police members responded to reports of gunfire. Officers were deployed to Bayern Munich Road in Tafelsig, where two bodies were found. A third wounded person, was later confirmed deceased at a nearby medical facility. He says the men are aged 21, 22 and 36-years.

 

Triple murder: No arrests yet
