Deadly gang shooting outside Mitchells Plain Court

Anti-Gang unit detectives are investigating a deadly gang-related shooting outside the Mitchells Plain on Monday, 25 August.

 

According to reports, at about 11:15, two men, who had just appeared in court, were leaving the building and stood outside for a while.

 

Four armed suspects surprised them and fired numerous gunshots.

 

One man died on the scene, while the second victim was transported to a nearby hospital with serious gunshot wounds.

 

The suspects fled the scene, and they are yet to be arrested.

 

According to reports, the two victims were members of the Fancy Boys gang, and had appeared in court on a double murder case that was provisionally withdrawn.

 

Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or use the mobile application MySAPS anonymously.
