Woman not from Bonteheuwel
Meanwhile, the ward councillor for Bonteheuwel says the murder was an isolated, gang-related incident, with no links to Bonteheuwel.
Councillor Angus McKenzie claims that the woman, who has been identified in the media as 27-year-old Tharwar Bazier, a mother of one, was not from the area.
He says the perpetrator was also not from there.
A local media outlet is reporting that Bazier was killed in a planned hit.
McKenzie has stressed that this tragedy has no link to Bonteheuwel and has called on people to stop smearing the community.
He has also extended his condolences to the family of the young woman, who was killed.
