Police in the Northern Suburbs are probing two cases of murder and three of attempted murder. He says one person was unscathed.

At the same time, he says no one has been arrested yet in connection with the latest suspected gang shooting in the Mother City. Swartbooi says detectives of the Anti-Gang Unit are hard at work in a bid to apprehend those responsible for the death of two males and the attempt to kill three others, on Voortrekker Road on Saturday.

At the same time, Cape Town Police have asked the community of Goodwood for information, following the suspected gang killing in the area over the weekend. Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi says the occupants of a Silver VW Polo were travelling on Voortrekker Road on Saturday, when unknown armed men opened fire on their vehicle.

This comes more than a month after the alleged underworld figure, Andre Naude, was shot and killed, also along Voortrekker Road.
