CAPE OF STORMS: Another series of cold fronts headed for the Cape

Another series of cold fronts is set to lash the Western Cape, which has prompted the South African Weather Service (SAWS) to issue a Yellow Level 4 Warning for disruptive rainfall.

Heavy downpours is expected to affect the province from late Wednesday evening into Sunday, with the most worrisome cold front to make landfall on Friday. SAWS has hereby warned residents to be cognizant of possible flooding on roads, flooding in informal and formal settlements that may lead to damage to property or infrastructure.

 

 

The inclement weather will be coupled with very cold daytime temperatures of 10°C and below,  strong gusts of wind, and a potential dusting of snow on the mountain tops of the Western Cape and its neighbour, the Northern Cape.
