New Mdzananda animal daycare launched in Khayelitsha

Published on

Puppies and kittens in the Khayelitsha community will now be well taken care of, as Mdzananda Animal Clinic announces the opening of the “Tots with Tails” creche. The daycare centre will serve as a safe haven for animals in need of temporary shelter while awaiting their forever homes.

The Mdzananda Animal Clinic had described the creche as a “transformative initiative” aimed at enhancing the lives of animals in need of shelter. The facility features a dedicated area for social interaction and exercise, along with a welcoming meet-and-greet zone designed for potential adopters.

According to the clinic, a maintained separate living space for younger animals can effectively minimize their exposure to potential diseases and viruses. This includes positioning them at a considerable distance from the main hospital.

“Thanks to the generous support of Dogs Trust International, this facility has been built and is now ready to serve as a safe haven for our youngest residents.”

Fundraiser at Mdzananda Animal Clinic, Kelly Arendse, says this new addition to the animal clinic will make a profound impact on the lives of the puppies and kittens that the facility cares for.

“Equipped with amenities for eating, sleeping, socialising, and playing, this space provides a nurturing environment for these vulnerable animals to thrive and ultimately find loving forever homes.”

The “Tots with Tails” creche highlights Mdzananda Animal Clinic’s dedication to compassionate care for all animals in need.

“Through collaborative efforts with organisations like Dogs Trust International, we can continue to make a positive difference in the lives of countless animals and the communities we serve.”
