As this week marks one year since his passing, the family of slain rapper AKA has announced the launch of the Kiernan Forbes Foundation.

In a social media post, the Forbes family said the foundation aims to honour him by using his platform to develop young South Africans within the music industry, education and broader art world.

The legendary rapper was gunned down outside a Durban restaurant on the 10th of February last year. Last week, his loved ones also celebrated what would have been his 36th trip around the sun.
