To celebrate the start of the academic year, Premier Alan Winde and MEC David Maynier will be visiting Westcott Primary School, in Diep River, this morning.

In a bid to deal with overcrowding and the high number of learners still awaiting placement, the Provincial Education Department says it aims to still build 9 new schools to accommodate the learners applying for this school year, as well as 496 classrooms in areas of high demand for placement.
