Kraaifontein alleged taxi driving rapist sought

Kraaifontein Police are searching for a taxi driver who allegedly assaulted and raped a woman on 30 September 2023.

 

It’s understood the victim was travelling by taxi to Bloekombos. En route, the driver drove in the direction of Bottelary Road where he assaulted the victim, raped her and left her naked in the bush.

She later managed to walk to a nearby restaurant where the personnel assisted her with transport to Kraaifontein Police Station where the matter was reported.

 

Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi has issued an appeal for information that could lead to the perpetrator’s apprehension:

 

“We appeal to anyone with information to please call the investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Vatishwa Tsotso on 082 522 1039 or alternatively Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” says Swartbooi.
