All good things come to an end and we’re just about wrapping up an incredible trip to Memphis with Delta Airlines. Memphis Tourism has made sure we had a fantastic time. We spent the day leading up to our last show here experiencing a soulful look into the music history of the city and we also took a trip down the Mississippi on a classic riverboat cruise.

Stax Museum of American Soul Music

Stax launched the careers of the biggest names in soul music including the likes of s Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, the Staple Singers, Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas, Wilson Pickett, Albert King, Eddie Floyd, Jean Knight, Mable John, and William Bell who we got the chance to meet at our hotel.

Sun Records – the birth of rock ‘n’ roll

We took a trip to Sun Records – a recording studio and record company started by Sam Phillips. The inside of the studio has helped launch the careers of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. We heard about all their stories and how they got started with Sun Records.
