Singer-songwriter, JoseΓto FernΓ‘ndez has been given official writing credits, who reportedly first popularised the song on radio as early as 1929! This version by The Sandpipers is the most (commercially) successful version.

Warni Warni by Omar Souleyman
This 2013 hit with its elaborate keyboard and techno beats is all about love. Souleyman writes: Oh beautiful, you charmed me with your dark complexion / You can have me and my love easily. But instead, called her Magdalena.

Either you love it or you just plain hate it. But there’s no denying that Despacito became one of the biggest hits of 2017. You could not flip a radio channel without hearing it play. At the time of writing this article, the song’s music video has garnered over 8 billion views on YouTube.
