This YouTuber took an Uber from JHB to CPT

Published on

There’s nothing like a good road trip. Some of our fondest memories are made on the long road. Coupled with cold-boiled eggs and a coffee flask. Generally, it’s a rite of passage reserved for friends and family, that’s unless you’re Tsoanelo ‘Tsoanieskits‘ Moyo.

The South African Youtuber recently took a cross-country road trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town with one key difference. It wasn’t Ma, Pa, or a good friend behind the wheel – instead – an Uber driver named Darlington took on the long journey. You read that right!

Tsoani woke up one morning and decided to Uber all the way from Jozi to the Mother City and document the experience for his followers.

The Joyride with Angel Campey chatted to Tsoani to find out more about this crazy trip. How much did the trip end up costing? How did Darlington make his way home? Listen below to find out.

After chatting to Tsoani, the team just had to hear from the man of the moment himself, Darlington – the Uber driver who accepted the trip and was up to the challenge to set a record.

Why did he decide to accept the trip? How did he get home? And Do Uber drivers actually want riders to sit in the front seat – or sit in the back and shut up?
