Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is receiving treatment in a hospital after an attack on him Tuesday in a gym locker room. The Palm Beach Sheriff’s “learned that an altercation occurred inside the business between several individuals resulting in injuries to the victim.”
The authorities announced on social media that the incident occurred at an LA Fitness in Lake Worth, Florida. They confirmed there was an altercation between the rapper and “several individuals”. They assured the public that his injuries are non-life threatening.

A graphic video shows several men cornering and attacking the rapper – whose real name is David Hernandez – in the locker room. It also shows the 26-year-old exiting the restroom with a bloodied face.
Attorney to Hernandez, Lance Lazzaro, says the rapper was attacked ‘by three of four thugs’. He adds that Hernandez sustained “cuts to his face and bruises. Employees heard the disturbance and the perpetrators fled”, Lazzaro said.

In the video, one man inside the gym is seen talking on his cellphone. He approaches the entrance and lets a second man into the gym. The men then walk directly toward the bathroom – where the attack occurred.
The footage shows one of the assailants yelling to another to ‘take a picture…I am going to be famous now’. TMZ reports that the rapper is receiving treatment for injuries to his face, back, ribs and jaw.
The exact reasoning for the attack remains unknown at this time.
The motive for the assault is still unclear. But Hernandez is not short of enemies. In 2019, he was called a ‘snitch’ when testifying against the likes of the Bloods gang and Cardi B.
