Usain Bolt, world-record sprinter, was met with the shocking discovery that $12 million was missing from his account. Leaving Bolt with about $12,000 in his account – which was part of his retirement and lifetime savings. The account was with Kingston-based investment firm, Stocks and Securities Limited, according to Bolt’s lawyer.

His lawyer, Linton P Gordon said regulators have yet to communicate with him or his client. And if Bolt does not see the money returned within 10 days, the case will be taken to the Supreme Court in Kingston.
It’s distressful news for anyone. And certainly in the case of Mr. Bolt, who established this account as part of his private pension
Jamaica’s Financial Services Commission is investigation SSL. The Commission assured that it will alert its clients of any resolution or information once available.

One day after the Commission announced that it was investigation SSL, financial authorities said they were assuming temporary management of the firm. This will allow it to keep operating, but will need approval from the government for any transactions. Bolt’s attorney’s sent a letter to The Associated Press:
If this is correct, and we are hoping it is not, then a serious act of fraud larceny or a combination of both have been committed against our client
World’s fastest man ‘Bolts’ away
Two years after winning his three Olympic gold medals in 2018 (Rio De Janeiro), Bolt made it on to the Forbes list of highest paid athletes. He ranked at number 45, with $1 million in salary and other winnings, and $30 million in endorsements.

Usain Bolt is an eight-time Olympic gold medalist. Many consider him to be the world’s fastest man – holding world records in the 100-meter and 200-meter races. He also led his team to gold in the 100-meter relay. The medal was later confiscated after one of his teammates tested positive for a banned substance.
Bolt went on to win another three gold medals at the 2012 London Summer Games, and three more in 2016. Outside of the Olympics, Usain Bolt has placed 1st in eleven world championship track events (2009 – 2015).
