The 74th annual Emmy Awards saw some fan-favourites bagging the prize, alongside recurring achievers and a few dark horses.
South Korean actor, Lee Jung-jae became the first Asian star to win the Emmy award for his role in Netflix’s Squid Game. The show’s creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk received the award for best drama series director – also becoming the first Asian to do so.
The outstanding drama award went to Succession, for a second year running. The drama’s creator, Jesse Armstrong took a stab at the British monarchy during his acceptance speech.
