To place your latest music release in front of top music directors and ensure it doesn’t get lost in a busy inbox, Smile FM has partnered with Plugm8.io, a South African music submission platform built to give independent artists and labels a transparent and structured way to get their music submitted and played on radio.

How to submit music via Plugm8

1. Create your Account: Head over to Plugm8.io and set up your artist or label profile. (https://plugm8.io/submit-smilefm)
2. Upload Your Release: Add your radio-ready track, and essential metadata. AI generated music will be flagged and banned from the platform.
3. Get Real Feedback: Smile FM reviews submissions directly on the platform. Once reviewed, you receive an instant status update letting you know if your track has been Playlisted, Shelved (kept for potential future consideration), or Rejected and why!

Alternative: Email Submissions

We highly encourage using Plugm8 for reliable feedback on your submissions, but we do still accept traditional email submissions via music@smile904.fm.

1. MP3 for listening
2. WAV download link
3. Label, Publisher, Composer/Author, ISRC Code
4. Ensure your song is radio friendly
5. Brief Bio/Press Release

If you have not heard from us in 6-8 weeks, please consider your submission unsuccessful. Due to high volume of music submissions and a meticulous playlist curation process, we can only provide feedback when a song is approved for playlisting.
