The French Schooner, Tara is in Cape Town as part of research into microbiomes in the oceans

Members of the public will be able to visit the laboratory ship this week on the public holiday ( 27 April).
The visit of the Tara to the Mother City is an opportunity to raise awareness about the conservation of the oceans.
The head of the Tara Ocean Foundation, Romain Troublé says the boat is anchored at the V&A Waterfront and will leave for Namibia on the 1st of May.
