SA’s Covid-19 death toll rises to 98,617

2,267 new Covid-19 infections were recorded in the previous 24-hour reporting period.

There were also 319 Covid-related deaths recorded of which 9 occurred over the past 24 to 48 hours.

The country’s overall Covid-19 death toll now stands at 98,617
