Improvement of broadband infrastructure holds positive benefits for Western Cape schools

Published on

Premier Alan Winde says the continuous improvement of broadband infrastructure holds a lot of positive benefits for Western Cape schools.

He says there are currently 1,190 sites across the Western Cape that offer users internet usage speeds of up to a minimum of 100MB per second.

Winde says the aim is to ramp up these internet speeds to at least 1 Gigabyte per second.

He says the province has now embarked on phase 2 of its broadband infrastructure roll-out.
