Proteas vs India – Day 3 – Tea Update

Published on

The match at Newlands is turning into quite an epic battle, with Rishabh Pant keeping India in it.

Just as it started to look as if the match was just starting to get out of the reach of South Africa, Lungi Ngidi struck with the huge wicket of Virat Kohli.

That signalled the beginning of the end of the visitor’s second innings. An innings kept intact by Rishabh Pant who scored a potentially match-winning unbeaten Ton. That was just the second century of the series so far, following KL Rahuls 123 in the first test at SuperSport Park.

Marco Jansen was the man to finally wrap up the tail, which brought about Tea, with a huge evening session laying ahead for South Africa.

At Tea, India are all out for 198 (67.3). The Proteas require 211-runs for victory.

Pant – 100* (139)

Marco Jansen – 4/36 (19.3)
