Western Cape Premier Alan Winde, Parliament speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, teamed up yesterday to thank the brave firefighters who worked around the clock to battle a devastating fire at Parliament.

The trio joined firefighters at the Roeland Street fire station to convey a message of thanks to all who helped fight the blaze.

Winde said time and again, the city’s brave fighters have shown up and tirelessly battled dangerous fire lines with expert precision and unrelenting dedication.
