Thousands of IEC staff in the Western Cape are ready and waiting to receive voters this morning in the 2021 Local Government Elections.

There are 1 577 voting stations across the province. This includes 474 voting centres in more densely-populated areas. Social distancing will be adhered to at these centres, in line with covid-19 measures. Chief electoral officer in the Western Cape, Michael Hendrikse has thanked staff, who have put in long hours.
