South Africa has recorded 1 367 new Covid-19 infections over the latest 24-hour monitoring period.

The majority of new cases are from KwaZulu-Natal followed by the Western Cape and then the Eastern Cape and Gauteng, with the third-highest number of cases. The positivity rate is at 8.6%. At the same time, 201 new deaths were confirmed taking total fatalities to 87 417.
