The Western Cape Health Department has urged adults to come forward and get their vaccination, in order to have a safe Christmas.

Over the last few days, the department has seen a reduced uptake of the jab, despite ample supplies. The Department’s Maret Lesch has appealed to as many adults as possible to get their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine by the latest 20 October, which will allow the second dose to be given 2 weeks before Christmas, which means on 25 December, people would have built up maximum immunity.
