The prices of petrol and diesel will most likely become cheaper in October.

According to figures released by the Central Energy Fund there is currently an over-recovery of 18 cents per liter on the price of 95-octane petrol and 21 cents c per liters on 93-octane gasoline.

The over-recovery on all grades of diesel is about 9 cents per liter.

The new fuel prices will be implemented on Wednesday 6 October.
