The Western Cape Department of Health says more than 90% of covid-19 patients, currently in hospitals, are unvaccinated.

Research by the UCT Health Sciences faculty has shown that of the 156 patients admitted to the Groote Schuur Hospital, 153 were not vaccinated against the virus. Of the 66 patients in ICU, not one of the patients had their covid-19 jab.
