Premier Alan Winde says the lessons learnt from the first and second wave have helped the Western Cape suppress the severity of the third wave.
He says the province is now slowly passing the peak of the third wave.
Winde says the province’s healthcare-sector had been sufficiently prepared to receive and treat patients.
