WATCH: Rassie Erasmus speaks out in an explosive new video, on the controversial first Test against the British & Irish Lions

Published on

Ahead of the much-anticipated second clash between the Springboks and the British and Irish Lions this Saturday, and in an unprecedented move, SA Rugby Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus has spoken out in a powerful video, which includes 26 clips, outlining how he believes the Springboks were wronged by match officials in the 22-17 defeat against the Lions last weekend.

His statements include his view that the Springboks were disrespected by match officials, South African TMO Marius Jonker being put in a position where he wouldn’t rule anything in favour of the Springboks, and referee Nic Berry’s many questionable refereeing decisions.

It’s the latest salvo fired following the controversial first Test, which has sparked furious debates online and in the mainstream sport media.

It’s quite an explosive video, and Erasmus has taken full ownership, should there be any fall out with World Rugby over his comments.
