The acting Minister of Health, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane says there is concern that the Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal provinces will, in the next few weeks, see significant spikes in their Covid-19 infection-rates.

This, after thousands of people gathered in large numbers during last week’s looting and violent protests there.

The Minister says that many people, arrested for the violence and looting, tested positive for the virus.
