The death-toll, due to the violent protests and looting in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal has risen to 537

The Acting Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, says the number of fatalities, recorded due to the recent violent protesting and looting in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal has risen to 537.

In Gauteng 279-related deaths were reported while in KZN 258 deaths were reported.

She says law enforcement authorities are continuing investigations and adds that no new incidents were reported.
