Western Cape Premier, Alan Winde says the Lentegeur Hospital of Hope, in Mitchell’s Plain, has now come online.
Winde visited the facility this week and says the hospital has already admitted more than 30 patients since opening last week Wednesday.
He says the facility would, in total, provide 200 beds to treat patients with Covid-19 complications.
