South Africa moves to Alert Level 3 of the Covid-19 lockdown

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced the country will be moved to Alert Level 3 of Covid-19 lockdown.

The hours of curfew will be from 22:00 – 04:00. Non-essential establishments will need to close by 21:00 to allow employees and patrons to travel home.

Gatherings will be limited 50 people indoors, and 100 outdoors, or 50% of the venue’s capacity. Funerals may not be attended by more than 50 people. Night vigils are still not allowed.

Alcohol sales at retail outlets (off-site) will be allowed between 10:00 – 18:00, between Monday and Thursday.
