Ramaphosa: Africa has the skills & knowledge to respond to health-needs of all its people

Even though the Covid-19 pandemic brought with it a range of challenges, it also presented the African-continent with many opportunities to become a leader or trendsetter in addressing the challenges faced by its healthcare systems.

This, according to President Cyril Ramaphosa, who addressed African Union leaders during an online meeting yesterday.

He says the Aspen-Pharmacare facility in the Eastern Cape, is an example of how rapid change can be brought about, and innovation used, to fight pandemics.

He says African countries have the necessary skills and knowledge to build on these successes even further.
