The Western Cape recorded more than a thousand new covid-19 infections, bringing the province’s overall infection rate to more than 262,000 confirmed cases. Nearly 230,000 residents have already recovered, with more than 25,900 people that still have forms of the virus. The province’s covid-19 death-toll currently stands at 9,844.
