Mitchell’s Plain police say they arrested a 49-year old suspect yesterday for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and for attempted murder. Police were responding to reports of a shooting in Laura Crescent in Tafelsig and, upon investigation, arrested the man after he was pointed out to police. The suspect is due to appear in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrates Court this week.
