The Western Cape’s covid-19 infection rate has risen to 127,403. Of these, more than 115-thousand people have recovered, with 7,792 people who still have active forms of the virus. The provincial Department of Health has warned that there is a worrying increase in infections, especially in the Garden Route and the City of Cape Town, and calls on residents to be more vigilant to prevent the further spread of the virus.
