The DA has welcomed the appointment of an independent panel of legal-experts, that will be tasked to review the removal of the Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, from her position. National Assembly-speaker, Thandi Modise, this week appointed retired Constitutional Court Judge, Bess Nkabinde, to chair the three-member panel. Nkabinde would be joined by prominent senior counsel, Dumisa Ntsebeza, as well as senior counsel and academic, Johan de Waal.
