Global Handwashing Day celebrated today!

Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga says the regular washing of hands is now of greater importance, in light of the worldwide covid-19 pandemic.

The Minister this morning visited several Gauteng schools, as part of her Department’s Global Handwashing Day celebrations.

Since it was first launched in 2008, the yearly event has been used to spread the word about the importance of washing hands, whilst aiming to create safer school-environments.
