2021 Matric examinations off to a good start

The Western Cape Department of Education says the first day of the 2021 Matric-examinations kicked off without any disruptions this week.

More than 63,000 Grade 12s sat for English paper one at the province’s examination centers yesterday.

Education MEC, Debbie Schäfer says her department is monitoring the situation on the ground.

Schäfer expressed her concern after Eskom announced the implementation of stage 4 loadshedding yesterday.
