WATCH: The Antipolis ship wreck has washed ashore at the 12 Apostles

Published on

The public are cautioned not to get too close to the Antipolis shipwreck, which has washed ashore at the 12 Apostles because it is very unstable.

The oil tanker ran aground off Oudekraal during a July storm in 1977 and was lying partially submerged before.

The situation is being monitored by the City of Cape Town. Coastal management spokesperson Gregg Oelofse says it washed ashore due to the strong swells on Wednesday.
