WATCH OUT FOR LEOPARD TOAD ON A BREEDING STROLL

Published on

It is Western Leopard Toad annual breeding migration time and the City of Cape Town is requesting all to be on the lookout for these unique creatures. Residents and visitors are requested to drive with caution as the toads often cross our busy roads during this period.

Residents should keep an eye out for the awareness campaign posters that are being placed along the various roads where most of the migration movement takes place.

The posters mark the areas where motorists should be most vigilant to avoid killing these charismatic amphibians, particularly on rainy nights.
