There are more than 1 000 active coronavirus cases among pupils in the Western Cape.

Sixteen schools, representing only 1% of schools in the province, made requests to the department last week, for their schools, to be disinfected. According to the WCED’s Bronagh Hammond, a lot of misinformation is circulating and some communities are affected more than others during the peak of the third wave.
