The Western Cape’s covid-19 infection rate has further increased, over the past 24 hours, with the overall infection rate now standing at more than 146-thousand infections. More than 123-thousand people have already recovered from the virus, which means that there are currently just more than 18,290 active cases of the virus in the province. 4,970 Western Cape residents have, to date, died due to covid-19 related complications.
