The Western Cape Transport MEC, Bonginkosi Madikizela, says a total of 92 people have been killed this year in the province, in taxi-related murders. Madikizela says the number of attempted murders and injuries, now stands at 51, for the period January to November 2020. Five people were killed at the Nyanga taxi rank, on Monday evening, in an attack that left another 2 people wounded. In another incident on Monday, seven others were wounded, when gun-men opened fire on commuters at the Cape Town station taxi-terminal.
